Diy Bathroom Vanity Top Quick Solution

Nov 28, 2017

The bathroom is more than just a place where you shower. It’s a place where you relax and unwind at the end of the day, particularly if you have a wonderful garden tub. That being said, even if you do just run in and out of your bathroom quickly throughout the day, you want it to look great and give you a relaxing sense.

What's behind this DIY magic that will save you tons of money?  Vanity tops:  ready-made, cut-to-size countertops.  Bathroom vanity tops come in two basic categories--integrated and cut-out--which are also divided into two categories:  single and double basin.  And there is a third, smaller category of tops for vessel sinks

Vanity Essentials

Definition:  A bathroom vanity is a base cabinet.  Like its closest cousin, the kitchen sink base, the vanity cabinet is a single unit of furniture that holds the sink and a few drawers. It serves the added purpose of hiding the maze of plumbing supply and drain pipes below the sink.

Many of these vanities are repurposed furniture pieces. You know how much I love repurposing projects, just take a look at projects. I absolutely adore taking an old piece of furniture and turning it into something fresh and new. Many of these bathroom vanities use that concept. From old dressers and desks to cabinets and even a bicycle! You’ll find a vanity in here that is sure to suit every single preference and every single bathroom remodeling project.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at DIY bathroom vanity you’ve ever seen.

Diy bathroom vanity top step:

1:

Cut plywood, with the grain, cutting long cuts first. So you would cut an 18" wide strip off of your plywood, and then from that 18" strip, cut the sides and shelf. You can ask the lumber store to make the cuts for you, and your plywood will be easier to transport and store.

2 :

Place the bottom shelf between the sides, either using the Kreg Jig or countersunk screws or 2" finish nails and wood glue.

3:

Attach the 1x3s . The front 1x3 needs to be placed with a 4" space above it. The back 1x3s need to be placed at the top, bottom of the bottom shelf, and centered.

4:

Now the toekick. Cut out and attach with 2" finish nails and wood glue.

5:

For the front apron, you can glue and attach the 1/4" trim pieces.
